The frame mainly became dividable because I wanted to see if I could get rid of the traditional noseboom length adjustment for recumbents. Coupled with the frontwheeldrive this now has the advantage that the whole front section of the bike is fixed (so no more changes to chain length, no more crank-wheel interference for shorter riders). The fact that you can now divide the bike in two parts is more a bonus of the previous.
With regards to weight I can tell you the bike is not heavy. The bike as shown here:
weighs about 12.5 kilo.
