Do you consider "captures" as less ambiguous than "prisoners" or is there some other reason?

I never hear the word ``prisoners'' used among experienced Go players in the US, who talk about captures and capture dishes. It has a sort of disagreeable connotation, if you think how prisoners of war are usually treated.

I don't think any existing gtp applications actually use the ''prisoners'' command, having just grepped gnugoclient-2.0 and regression/ .
