Avon I think has the kind of nature to think that calmly and logically even when faced with his own death. I have trouble seeing him as the self sacrifing kind though, even for the most logical of reasons. It's interesting. ;-) -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Avon is clearly a layered Bad Boy/Professor. (Remember, layered characters have conflicting emotions and goals, and are frequently at war with themselves over what to do.) Let's start with the Bad Boy aspects: "The BAD BOY struts into every room, daring one and all to knock the chip from his shoulder. It may seem that he cares nothing for the opinion of others, but in fact, the reverse is true. .... And once he led the credits, Avon got hit on the *head* more often than everyone else (three times in Power, I think that's the record!).
