In the novelisation, and the original script, the room was blown up - but it never made it to the screen so the basement cavern was presumably still accessible. In fact, if you listen to all the remarks between Dorian & Avon, it adds another twist to the "Avon goes mad in s4" theory. The room "accepts" Avon; it affects/controls Dorian ("By now I probably would be"), etc. Perhaps not all the "madness & rotting corruption" settled back on Dorian when the creature was destroyed. I always wondered what the consequences would be if Avon had managed to get the barely-alive Blake back to the cavern (So what if Blake's not moving and the base is destroyed? No problem). Andrew.

What if?

I was just thinking of alternative Character plot lines. The first one I thought of is Travis Wouldn't it have been interesting if the second Travis was the the first but in a new body. You could have had episodes where we're left guessing, then Blake eventually realises the truth. The eyes or the soul is still bad or his justice radar or something. You could have got rid of the arm and eye and it would have made Voice from the Past poignant if you could see more of him, but they don't know who he is. He could even have been in the body of an actual important rebel. Maybe the Federation could have something like that equipment from Ultraworld, but that puts people's minds in other bodies. Dorian's basement room was carved out of a special mineral deposit, and derived its properties from that. He told Avon about it, and Vila heard as he hid on the stairs. What was to stop either of them from using any or all of the others to enable him to live longer, apart from his conscience? Did anyone have the room or the access to it blown up? Dorset group

The Dorset group's next meet is 17 November. We're going to see the Harry Potter film at UCI Tower Park (near Poole). The screening is 12.30. (there's still tickets available as of this evening) The booking line number is 0870 010 2030 - it's totally automated and horrible to use, but it does get there in the end. I'm asking people to book their own tickets for this one because I can't cope with that wretched booking line again. (theatre bookings are a doddle by comparison) After the film, we'll head back to my place, possibly via Burger King. (Lifts from the cinema can be arranged if needed) If anyone wants to join us, please let me know (off-list as I'm not currently subbed) and I'll make sure you know how to find/recognise us. Could you give us URLs please? As it is, it sounds like plagiarism, but I can't really tell without reading the stories in question. And just because it *sounds* like plagiarism doesn't necessarily mean that it *is.* It could possibly be a case of someone archiving an earlier version of the story under an old pseud without permission or something. I know of writers who will post stories on their websites and then revise them later, and people who have changed their pseuds. One writer I know heavily expurgated some of her adult stories when she put them on fanfiction.net, so there can be multiple versions of the same story by the same writer out there. As for what happens, a lot depends on the fandom itself. At the least, I think the "rewrite" should be taken down and the plagiarist warned not to do it again. Generally, the plaigiarist will be persona non grata for quite some time in that fandom as well. Tiger M

Hi all, Tonight i received an e-mail from a Matthew Deane in Australia, with the subject line, " �=!"# $ % " It contains an attatchment called "start.exe", which may be a virus. I am posting this to warn Lyst users not to download or execute this attatchment. The B7 Movie list address, newsletter(a)www.blakes7.com , seems to be resending this message to subscribers of this list. I also recieved an e-maIL from a subscriber to this list, and two replies, which appear to have been relayed via newsletter(a)www.blakes7.com I do realise we aren't supposed to send virus warnings to the Lyst, but it seems relevent to the group, as many may be subscibed to the B7 Movie list. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this warning. I also apologise if a warnng has already been posted here.
