Xmas at Hermit

The Christmas tree lights have just been switched on at http://www.hermit.org/Blakes7 and we've uploaded a batch of new stories to the Library. I've just added my 'Justice' trilogy. (I nearly didn't upload this one because I kept getting the urge to go back and rewrite the first part. I knew a hell of a lot more about writing by the time I reached part three...) We've also recently added index entries for stories by M. Fae Glasgow, Willa Shakespeare, and others. Richard tells me that the Library as a whole just passed the 50,000 stories downloaded mark. Regular posters have been here for some time??? It makes no difference how long a particular list has been going or how mature it is as I think you will find that Blake's 7 fans have the same average age and average maturity regardless of which list they post to. Blooper in 'SLD' & speed in 'Stardrive'

Hi all, Does anybody have the blooper from the episode 'Seek-Locate-Destroy' featuring Jacqueline Pearce and Stephen Greif on tape? I'd love to have a copy. I know most of you don't like 'Stardrive' (Una perhaps?), but I have a question about this episode. What does the term 'Real Time' that Vila, Dayna and Atlan mention really mean? It seems as though the inclusion of 'Real Time' makes Time Distort speed closer to that of the Liberator. IMO there has to be some reasonable reason why Orac was incapable of it. Just in case any of you are waiting breathlessly to hear the results of the latest frame capture vote, the five winning episodes for this round are: Space Fall Duel Hostage Powerplay Harvest of Kairos Not a bad selection, though I may have to have a little chat with someone about that last one (and you know who you are.) Do they even make one strike against the Federation in season 3? A little personal revenge which goes severely wrong is about it. Avon finds the constraints and pressures of leadership quite painful, I think - like a straightjacket that's three sizes too small - and over time, it gets worse. He's stifled and worn down by it in a way he never expected when he said he wanted the ship (though not the crew). Give him some credit for taking that straightjacket on at all (neither of the other long-time crewembers were even willing to try). <But Avon *is* their leader, the only one they've got, they're pretty well stuck with him,> That's as much their fault as his. If he's poor leadership material, they're all worse (it seems good leaders are thin on the ground in the Federation - remember Servalan, in charge of a *huge* military organisation - moaning that maniacal Travis 2 is so much better than anyone she's got left) <and he should at least make an effort to act like one.> It's no *good* saying he ought to care about their welfare before his own, or put the group first - that's like saying Vila ought to be honest, or Dayna ought to let the past go and, if not forgive, then forget where Servalan is concerned. He genuinely doesn't know how to, not for most of the human race, not even for most of the crew.
