There are many reasons why they've been doing this, I'll tell you the most important one. Pornographic. This is interesting because the Ashton Press website is all about pornography. It uses actors likenesses without their permission. It takes scenes from the programme, give them a "slashy twist" and then reinterprets those scenes back into their brand of homophobic slash fiction. You know the sort of thing. Take a scene from the Web. Add sex. Now change a detail or two-- make it Tarrant not Blake, the flight deck not the hold. What you have then is something which resembles the show, but differs from it in one important detail. So back and forth, from fanfic to TV show, until eventually they become indistinguishable, and the slash interpretation reigns supreme. Clever isn't it? It's called brainwashing. Any one remember Annie telling everyone that the Wall Street Journal had printed an article saying Lycos was going bankrupt, and was deleting all its free sites? Now that is the most telling at all. What she is saying here is that "disagreement is bad". That basically sums up the whole Ashton Press attitude. Don't disagree with Ashton Press, or they'll hate you for it. Oh, and by the way, Annie and Leah are on Lysator and Freedom City not just under their own names, but under various aliases. This is why they're so obsessed with other people using aliases. Some of their aliases have been emailing me offlyst. Trying to find out what I'm about. Isn't that right Leah? I can recognise a wolf when I see one. These people are extremely dangerous. Oh fuck this. What used to be a B7 mailing list has become some kind of MEOWer pit full of baffling squabbles taking up shitloads of bandwith (half a dozen digests a day? It was never like this on the old listserver) I'm out of here- why waste time with the endless incomprehensible flames when I could be doing something more interesting like listening to John Major read the Tory manifesto translated into Ancient Greek. (Christ, remember the days when Calle would smack you down for an e-snowball? Where's the moderation?) DM

They're all running around pretending that nothing's wrong and that if you ignore the nastiness it'll go away. But guess what? It won't. And the people who are doing this are the slashers I've tagged. Check back and see. I'm telling you, leave now. There's no way you can get rid of them. Psychopaths

Here's a word for you: Psychopath. Defined by the New English Dictionary as: a person suffering from a mental disorder that results in antisocial behaviour and lack of guilt. Blake's 7 is full of them. Gan, Leylan, Raiker and of course Avon. They are all classic psychopaths. Here are some of the attributes to look out for; 1/ High intelligence. 2/ A calm, or mannered exterior 3/ If they are frustrated they will fly into a huge rage. 4/ They will often live alone 5/ They will have one way of looking at the world, and if that model is in any way attacked they will hate you forever. 6/ They have no concept of good and evil. 7/ They are obsessed with having control over other people. There are a large number of psychopaths at work on this lyst. Birds of a feather flock together. It is the character of Avon who is drawing them. Some of them have an extensive knowledge of psychological techniques of mind control. These people are extremely dangerous. This is not a joke. If you are a genuine B7 fan then leave this lyst immediately. Set up your own, if you like, but be wary. However you must leave here. Go now.
