Well, there's the promise of their sentences being quashed and Blake mistakenly thinks Leylan is an honest man. Blake can be a bit of an innocent sometimes.
Also when they're sent Blake says this is the other option to execution,

they have no qualms about killing a woman.

doesn't complain, because they might have killed her if he'd said she shouldn't go.
