Have I sinned, talking about AfterLife, must i spend my conference time in my Single Unwanted Dumb Male t-shirt as penince for my Blake7 sins ??
If you consider disagreement to be evidence of sin, then you would probably feel better for some pennance. But if you bring up the subject of sin in order to manipulate our feelings, then all the INTPs and INTJs will get quite irritated... (-8
I original suggested it, cause I thought it was from the original authors at the time, from the TV series.
No, Tony Attwood didn't have anything to do with the actual series. He just wrote this authorized novel -- probably because he'd previously written the official Guide to B7. IMHO, if they had to have an official novel, they probably would have been better off with Trevor Hoyle, who was the one who did the novelizations.
Do we respect the actors views, or should we really be supporting any content remaining from the original authors, who's creation, ideas and dreams went into Blakes 7.
What we respect is that which remains true to the series that we saw on television, irrespective of who writes it. The other B7 novel which you will see disparraged here is "Avon - A Terrible Aspect" which was written by Paul Darrow, who played Avon. Yes, we are no respecters of persons -- it is not for nothing that it is often called "Avon - A Terrible Novel". The reason why we dislike it is that it is not true to the series as aired. It's inconsistent with the series -- the Avon we see there could not have existed in the same universe as the Avon we saw on the screen. Paul Darrow Got It Wrong.
We won't support just *any* old content -- we will support *good* content.
Warm regards and dodging tomatooes
Why would we waste our time throwing tomatoes when we could be using words? (-8
