You can live without cigarettes, recreational drugs or gambling. If you
stop eating, you die. If you stop having sex of any kind, you are not behaving in a natural fashion.<
O dear, in that case I stopped behaving in a "natural" fashion quite some time ago. How like silly naive little me never to have noticed that. :-) But since I feel totally happy and fulfilled the way I live, I see no reason to change my ways just because someone tells me I'm not behaving natural.
If you stop eating you die, yes, but you don't die if you stop having sex, so that comparison doesn't hold ground IMO. Mind, I've got nothing against sex, but it just isn't a vital need for me. You may call that unnatural, but I don't perceive it that way at all.

Putting it more strongly, sex is one of those things that's part of our primal nature, for keeping the species as a whole going. So's violence, greed, and defecating where you stand. If I can get through the day without beating up someone (or something), taking what they've got because I want it, and leaving a trail of crap behind me, I'm being unnatural. Doesn't make it a bad thing.
Abstinence can be as bad as indulgence, if taken to extremes. Apply common sense to your own situation.
