I just got to thinking, who cut their hair?
I'd vote for Cally. You know the old story about, if there are only two barbers in town, go to the one with the bad haircut since the other guy's the one who had to have done it? Can't you just see Cally, after months in the wild with no decent conditioner and sure she's overloaded with split ends, getting one of the others to trim it for her with, er, memorable results?
Other questions this raises. What security steps would Avon take before letting anyone stand behind him with sharp scissors? Who did Cally get to trim hers? I ask only because more than one culture has felt there was something flirtatious about a woman letting a man touch her hair and I'm anxious (as always) to get as much as I can out it of these little debates. But would even Blake have suggested Avon could learn brain surgery on the fly when Gan had the limiter breakdown if this was what happened the last time someone let him near their head with a sharpened instrument?

I thought they'd have a cunning device (like that automatic eye-makeup thingy in 'Fifth Element') with a big list of hairstyles to choose from. Select your style, stick it over your head and get an almost instant haircut. The Liberator with its vast array of clothes was sure to have one.
Blake liked the 'swashbuckler', to match his clothes. Avon first went for an 'early Beatles retro', but Vila later mischievously reprogrammed it for a 'game-show host' and had the joke back-fire when Avon liked it. Jenna selected the 'Farrah Fawcett-Majors' wind-tossed special. Vila liked a 'long back and sides, short on top', otherwise known as the 'Edwardian stunned mullet'. Auron is a hot planet, and Cally kept setting the temperature far too high while her perm was taking. Gan had the 'short and curlies'. Dayna went for the 'Marine buzz-cut'. Tarrant liked the 'pirate', very similar to the 'swashbuckler'.
Dorian had an auto-stylist too. You can't see him plaiting Soolin's hair, can you? It was one of Soolin's more innocent pleasures putting the thing through its paces.

<flop giggle> This just made me splutter with amusement for no opbvious reason.

I can see a number of problems which could arise here, depending on who had the scissors and whose hair was under them...

About haircuts: 1. Perhaps the need for security impels Avon to cut his own hair, which explains a lot 2. I would think that the person with the most acute problem is Servalan, given both the shortness of the hair and the number of enemies
