Some do. I certainly write Cally a lot differently than she evolved in parts of S2 and S3, emphasizing her strengths. I also respectfully point out that the Avon-Blake dynamic is often portrayed quite differently than what one sees in canon. Whether or not the writer did so deliberately is another question.
