During the three minutes silence we sat around in my office, and people were crying, but nobody said anything or looked at each other, or touched (of course). And then people got up and walked off to be on their own, still without speaking. I think many English people feel awkward about publicising their own most felt emotions. And I strongly hope that doesn't come across as coldness or lack of feeling. My feelings at the moment are almost more than I can bear, in terms of both sympathy and fear for the future. So much that I am discussing everything except that single big thing.
