The android I can live with, in a manner of speaking; though the episode does push a button marked "Avon is a big meanie", with regard to one particular interaction with Vena. But that's just me, as previous discussions on this theme have shown.

Even Keiller can be tolerated (he does end up dead, as you will recall). I just have to ask myself if the music on the Space Princess and Avon's maniacal laughter at the end of the episode cancels out Vila getting the opportunity to look very good and behave rather more masterfully than he would have the chance to normally (the "it's your lucky day" bit). On the whole, I think it's not too bad a choice.

I am surprised, now that I think of it, that you didn't mention Gambit (and that I didn't think of it, for that matter). In my present state, I am deeply in sympathy with Jarriere...
