<I think maybe we are misinterpreting the word 'mishandled'. The terrible events you cite aren't mishandling. They are high drama, melodrama, script choices. We may or may not agree with them, but they were deliberate.>

And they're the scenes which - from my reading - probably generate the *most* fanfic (how many post-Orbit wallows or re-writes to get Avon off the hook *have* their been? How many fans feel the need to rewrite that scene in the tracking room?) IMO those three would probably be among - if not topping - the list of B7 bits that *most* contributed to its cult status (especially 'Blake'.)
