Are you sure being a Jarrigoth isn't some kind of tribal initiation rite substitute? Seriously? He's such an obscure character that even knowing who he *is* denotes that you're a serious (? not the right word, I know!) B7 fan, thus making identification so much easier. Getting enough people interested to make it worthwhile for someone to produce Jarriere models is surely some kind of accomplishment. (Getting them to stand up straight with that snoz is also testament to the accomplishment of the model-maker.)
