Aarggh!! No offence to Tony Attwood, but I thought 'Afterlife' was absolutely horrible, and bore very little relation to either characters or series as most fans viewed them even at the time. It might have been interesting as an original novel, without Avon and Vila, but as B7 it failed very badly. I bought it with high hopes, years ago when it first came out, and was deeply disappointed No trace of how Avon might be dealing with shooting his best friend in a tragic misunderstanding, or the loss of his crew. No sense at all of the man who stood protectively over Blake's body at Gauda Prime. I didn't expect a total emotional wallow, but some indication of feeling would have been nice. It just didn't work at all for me.

Um hello, what the blazes is 'Afterlife'? I'm from the US so I have no idea what your talking about.

It was a profic B7 novel (which was, by the way, readily available in the US when it was in print) with a post-Gauda Prime setting. If you haven't seen it, you're probably better off.

Not another "OUT OF PRINT" Blake's 7 book. Man how many of those things are there out there? I have two, one of which I can't bloody well find. Isn't there any way of getting a hold of some of them that doesn't cost a lot of money?

Let's see, fiction-wise there are three books of script adaptations by Trevor Hoyle, Attwood's 'Afterlife', and Paul Darrow's awful novel. Then there are background and reference books on the show -- Attwood's 'Programme Guide', and 'Blake's 7: The Inside Story' by Nazzaro and Wells. (That last one is fairly recent, might still be in print.)

Scrounge around the used book websites and look out for fans unloading their copies on lists or on eBay.

Isn't there also a very short book by Adrian Rigelsford, the pages of which fall out after one reading?

Now out of print. The Inside Story is still available, as far as I know, and can be bought from Judith Proctor amongst others.
There's a list of B7 books at http://hermit.org/blakes7/Merchant/Books/index.html along with links to Amazon and the internet Book Shop, and to the zine shop at the same site for The Inside Story.

Ok, I miss counted. I have four B7 books counts Darrow's book and the Inside Story. The other two are the scipt adaptations. I think the one I can't find has Scorpio in the title. And the other is First Adventure. And Darrow's book while I admit is pretty awfull does give one take on Avon's childhood or rather how Avon came to be. :-) Though it is pretty bad. The only redeeming part is the end where it tells you what that paper was that Avon had on London. :-)
