For example, instead of just exile, maybe the Aurons said, if she wanted to get her friends off their planet in one piece, she would have to agree to . . . what? Given that Aurons don't usually pull some of the sick stunts the Federation is into, the Twilight Zone-ish twists are limited. Getting her people the DNA to clone the most effective military leader around in case they decided _not_ to be neutral (we know it wasn't Servalan's [not that she was that great but the PR might have foolded them])? Getting them the DNA profiles of the Liberator's crew ("Og, say hello to your father, Vila")? None of these seem likely. Still, how big a favor do you have to promise to make an entire planet forgive Avon and Vila? And have it be something so bad _Tarrant_ would be creeped out to hear it?
