Has anyone else seen a little Danish show called 'The Kingdom'? It was on our local multicultural channel - a grotesque sort of horror-medical-soapie-with-ghosts that was strangely addictive and apparently huge in its home country. They had to stop making it because the actor playing the (very unpleasant) lead actor died.
I've never quite understood my own enjoyment of that one, having no taste for horror, soapies or hospital dramas. It wasn't the characters either - they were all grotesques (and dubbed ones at that :-)) but there it was, and I did like it.

Monday morning... So I managed to press "send" when I didn't mean to. I blame society.

Original title "Riget", yes?

It was huge over here too.

Ernst-Hugo Järegård, who was Swedish. He was *really* good at playing unpleasant characters. In a perfetct world, he would've played a high Federation official.
