OK, there's a necropolis in "Duel," but what do they do with dead bodies on Terra-- bury them? Cremate them? If there's a small population, there would probably be room for burials, but of course there would be no religious objections to cremation.

Unless, of course, they've got a situation such as in Soylent Green. (darn, I can't remember the title of the book, just the movie)
Kathryn Andersen (back and drowning in backlog) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Vila: Everyone came from Earth originally, that's a well-known fact. Soolin: That's a well-known opinion, actually. Tarrant: Most well-known facts are. (Blake's 7: Traitor [D3]) /?/

"Make Room! Make Room!" by Harry Harrison, I believe. Apparently it was hard to sell the movie rights because no studio wanted to make a film about overpopulation. Then someone span them the line about it being about cannibalism, so the nice people at MGM promptly snapped it up.

Yes, I know. It was obvious, and had I read on, then someone would have already posted such a reply. However, as soon as I realised this (as soon as I pressed 'Send', I attempted to cancel, but my email program grabbed the mail, flung it into the ether and sent you all a copy.
Next time, I'll think first.
