I'm based in Australia, and use a Palasonic, which is a low quality piece of junk, requiring tickering everytime I want to change regions. I had to write myself instructions and put them inside the entertainment unit so I could remember them.
I use the Australian and Chinese regions most, but the US and UK regions sometimes. Does anyone know of a good multi-region brand that is less temperamental, or a reliable means of "fixing" a single region brand?

I recommend Pioneer (I have an old 414); It is built multi zone at the factory.

British ones are Zone 2; American ones are Zone 1

My player is an LG 4210 and I have played region 1, region 2 and RCE-region 1 discs successfully. The adjustment that I had to make to it in order to play RCE discs was minor. It consisted of a series of commands and numbers using the handset, nothing technical involving a screwdriver <g>
