And very nice it was to see it, though I'd rather they'd paid tribute by rebroadcasting the radio version. For one thing, it's a lot longer. For another, the actors look better. Though I did enjoy seeing the graphics again, always my favourite bit of the TV version.
Why did I suddenly think "Withnail!" in the first few minutes? I tried to analyse it, and couldn't find any link beyond "two youngish men leave south-east England on a journey".

Ah, I'd been trying to put my finger on what I was reminded of. It's the actor playing Ford Prefect who definitely has something of Withnail about him. That and the fact he turns up acting completely manically and drags Arthur Dent off to a pub.
