Another interesting question is why Jenna knows Avalon. And a possible answer is that when *we* met her firstly, Avalon needed transportation to another planet. I assume that wasn't the only time she needed it. And Jenna was the one who did the transport.

My guess was that Jenna had previously smuggled supplies to rebel groups, stuff to make explosives, armaments, etc; and that Avalon was a regular customer. But transport works, too.
