Wasn't it while he was bathing? I only ask because I thought that phrase could cover both showering and taking a bath.

However, I agree Liberator had bathing facilities and that Dorian, being an indiscriminate addict of any and all kinds of pleasure, would not have overlooked one as basic as hot water.
