The Barmy Army are a group of rabid British cricket fanatics. They can be told apart from some rabid Australian cricket fanatics only by their accents and their tendency to sing. How the latter aspect fits into Harriet's Galactic Test Match scenario, I don't know, but it might explain the music being played aboard the Space Princess.
