Hi all. I've been wondering how people on the Lyst watch B7. All the episodes (except those that you don't like) in order? Whichever single ep you feel like? Whatever ep is suggested by comments on the Lyst?
And how often? I seem to go through the entire thing (except Animals & some others) every year or so.
Yes, I know this is a trivial question; but the Lyst is quiet now and I'm curious.

More or less through the series.
What would the minimum recommended age for seeing B7? (Nephew at 5 1/4 is far too young of course)

I watch single episodes every so often, usually as a result of something someone has said about an episode, or something else that's going on. Last viewings were picking clips from 'Star One', and last week I watched 'Sarcophagus', because I'd been reading some Tanith Lee (the Four BEE books). I watch 'Blake' and 'Rumours' the most often, tho'.
Oh! I watched 'Traitor' for the first time in ages a couple of months ago (because we'd just finished a run through 'Colditz' with Christopher Neame) and it was bloody brilliant! And I've been knocking it for so long without actually bothering to sit down and watching it.

Pshaw ;) Fiona - anything to add here?
I watch an episode maybe every couple of months.
& some others) every year or so.
It's ages since I had a run through. Probably last time was, let's think, the start of 1996, when we both had flu, and were stuck in bed for almost a fortnight. We watched them back to back then. No doubt I'll have a run through when the DVDs come out.

I tend to watch all the eps in order -- including the ones I don't like. I just fast forward through the unliked parts, or talk rudely to the people on the screen. (Much of "Sarcophagus" gets ff-ed through. "Animals," though, is fun to talk back to.) I go through the tapes at least once a year, though it may take me months. And, usually in summer, when I have the hours to spend and am usually too hot to want to move.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Me too. I usually rope victims in to watch it with me too. I tend to finish it and then immediately go through them again. Sometimes it takes me a while to go though them, so im more than ready to start again straight away :) Watching 'Blake' often takes me a while to get to, I have to build myself up to that. <VBG>

I started watching B7 on tape about a year ago, and I usually watched both episodes on a tape at once, and several tapes a week until I'd seen them all. I do watch favorite episodes more frequently. I hardly ever participate in episode watches--they seem to violate the anarchistic B7 spirit--but do re-watch things that I want to check for a story. And I watch episodes with fan friends or with potential New Souls for the Faith. I still haven't seen most of S3 and S4 more than once, because it's too depressing to watch things go to hell in a handbucket.

If I get an urge to see a certain ep, I watch it. If I need to check something for reference that I can't get from a transcript, I usually just watch the necessary scenes.
Otherwise I watch them in sequence; about every other time I skip 'Blake'. Generally I run through the series about 4x-6x per year, although I've been busy recently and haven't seen more than a couple of episodes since Christmas.

Very, very slowly... When I watch it these days, it's usually to do frame captures, which means taking some 8-12 hours to go through one episode.
Other than that, I am most likely to pull out a tape to watch a particular scene I want to see. I seldom watch an entire episode at a time, and don't go through them in any sort of order.

I tend to watch episodes as and when I have time and/ or when I don't want to go to bed but am too tired to read. I start with Space Fall and work through to Blake .
I do watch Stardrive, Ultraworld, DoTG and Animals out of a misguided protestant sense of duty ! However I have no qualms about watching those episodes through the kitchen door whilst I'm cooking. Or wander around the flat tidying up with them in the background. If It's Star One, Duel, Pressure Point, Rumours or Sarcophagus I tend to make sure I watch them when I know I'll get an hour undisturbed.
Stephen.

LOL! - yet even I would suggest that if you're going to watch 'Animals', then don't skip 'The Way Back'!

Hi
I dip in and out of the seasons, usually concentrating on Avon episodes I love Orac from the first season and Gold, Orbit , Warlord and Blake from the 4th it depends what type of mood i am in really, if i want to wallow in Avon or feel cheered up by Blake's fighting spirit
Somewhat off topic the only other seres that i do the same with is Babylon 5 for pretty much the same reasons, except substitute Garabaldi for Avon!

Over the years I've had several goes at deliberately watching them in order, from the Way Back to Blake.
I don't really have time to watch episodes at the moment, but sometimes when something on the Lyst sparks a thought I'll get the episode(s) out to check. I promise myself I'll just watch the relevant clip as I don't have time to watch the whole episode but usually I find I'm unable to switch off till I've watched it to the end, unless it's one I really hate. The same happens when I see someone who was a guest actor in B7 in something else, I often watch 'their' episode to see how they've changed.
I did make the effort last year to watch the episodes the BBC were kind enough(!) to show us, even though I've got them all on video, as it just felt different - as if I was part of something special because so many people were watching it at exactly the same time as me. Albeit at a completely different and random time each week, of course!
