The artistic aspect of the TV production process is something I'm really very interested in For example I had an email off another list this morning, nothing to do with B7, from a script-writer on 'The Bill', about just the same topic. I am learning a lot from my various email friends.

I really wanted DM to provide some input on this, just like Leslie did, and just like my other screenwriter friends and correspondents. Now I realise it might have looked as if I was inviting him to join sides in the fight. I've re-read my email and I can see it might well have looked like that. I apologise to him and everyone else for giving that impression.

I don't want to fight. I want to find out new opinions. But I think, on seeing how things have developed since, that this was just the wrong time and place, and I'll discuss this topic on other lists only.
