Sounds like the portrait of Edward IV on an old supplement for something or the other that I was looking at last night (trying to rid myself of "junk", not that it worked very well). With the hairstyle in this picture (not the usual one, by the way), he was practically a dead-ringer for a particular Maylin of Karfel. By contrast, Richard III bore some resemblance to Travis I, and Edward V could've been the offspring of Vila and Soolin.

Whoever painted/repainted the'standard' picture of Richard III could not do hands by the way.
Is Richard III the subject of the first fanfic? (And what would Shakespeare make of B7)

As with a lot of his original source material, he would want to fix it, and we'd be the lucky little fandom with some really brilliant fanfic!
