I did get a laugh out of the description of Ellynne, Mistral, et al., as slashers. But--

Enough is enough. I am sick and tired of the ongoing harassment of this entire list by an ugly little troll and her friends or sock puppets or whatever they are. Not all of us have the expertise to set up a killfile, and in any case some of us prefer to get the list in digest form, for which killfiles don't work.

Please note that it is posted on a site available to the general public, presumably in order to advertise Fiona's qualifications; I am not doing anything improper in quoting it. This is the very same website given in the signature at the end of the appalling newsgroup post that Annie alerted us to.

If the misbehavior of Fiona and her associates does not stop, then I suggest that we all start complaining-- politely-- to the University of Oxford, particularly the faculty of anthropology and the Fellows of St. Cross College. If she is using the university's computers to harass us, then they are partly responsible.

Furthermore, I think is professionally unethical for the university to permit this person to participate in any kind of field work or research involving human subjects. Would those German businessmen have consented to be interviewed if they knew that the interviewer was in the habit of arranging for people whose views she disagreed with to be deluged with offensive e- mail?

We might also make some polite complaints, as fellow fans, to the OU Doctor Who Society, of which Fiona is apparently president, according to their website at: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~whosoc/ouwho.html.

And I'd very much like to know what connection Alan Stevens has to all this nastiness. Fiona says on her resume that she is his employee, and in her filthy little "comedy" newsgroup that he is her boyfriend:

So am I, for the most part-- my boyfriend writes and produces "unauthorised" fan audios </shameless advert>, and I'm no stranger to ripping the piss out of certain programmes myself.

So, what does Alan say? What, exactly, is the nature of his association with this horrible woman and her attacks on B7 fans? I would really like to know, because it affects my decision as to whether I purchase another issue of =Zenith=-- or anything else he is involved in.

Has Alan or anyone else started up another B7 list recently? Is that the meaning of the exhortations to join a "proper" B7 list? If so, I suggest we start forwarding Jenny's obnoxious posts to whatever list she is recommending that we join.

Here follows Fiona's resume, from her website. I suspect that the "handbag" business may be some sort of drag queen slang, picked up from her research on that topic. Perhaps it means something like, "Ooh, you hit me with your handbag, you mean ole fing, but it didn't hurt 'cause you're such a sissy."

And my interpretation of the "animal camouflage" line is that it is intended to be a threat, something along the lines of: "You SLASHERS [here defined as 'anyone who disagrees with Fiona Moore about anything whatsoever'] are pretending to be normal, ordinary people; but I, the mighty hunter, see through your camouflage, and I'm going to sic my big bad boyfriend Alan Stevens on you."

By the way: I hereby notify anyone who is considering harassing me with offensive personal e-mail related to this matter that I will not consider such communications to be private ones and will reserve the right to repost them to the entire Lyst, and/or to Fiona Moore's academic supervisors.
