That would be a real shame, IMHO - part of what I love about zines are the illustrations and some of the lovely cover art. I would hate to see those go the way of the late, lamented LP cover.
Besides which, I suspect that there's still a significant portion of the zine audience that's either unable to afford the technology or unwilling to learn to use it.
