Its quite worrying when you can recognise actors that were in the radio series and not the TV series before they utter a word. Although it took me a few minutes to realise it was Trillian in Casualty last Friday.
You mean the real Trillian? Began to remember why the television version annoyed me so much last night when we got the pretend Trillian. I'm sure the actor in question is beautiful, charming and devastatingly intelligent, but she's just not Trillian.
I agree there. I think she's a good actress, but not as Trillian. And why did they dress her in those outfits? Plus how come she had more than one outfit, whereas everyone else had just the one?
Ford Prefect isn't really Ford Prefect, either, but that doesn't bother me so much, as he seemed a plausible alternative to my own
I think he actually makes a better Ford the way he looks 10 years later. The radio version looks less like Ford, but sounds like him.
And it really bothers me when Marvin's voice comes out of a robot which looks nothing like Marvin. I suppose I ought to be able to accept that,
What do you think Marvin looks like? I don't think he's like the one in the TV series, but I think thats closer than the one in the Illustrated Book. And to answer my own question, I don't know.
