That's the most recent mention of it, but religious attitudes to homosexuality is one of the reasons why it is generally considered conducive to a flamewar-free Lyst to keep slash discussions on The Other List. I have heavily censored my comments in this thread out of consideration for some of the members.
(I will add here that the slash panel at Redemption was an excellent example of how to debate a very emotive topic in a sane fashion - much thanks to all the panellists.)
