What do you consider qualifies one to be a member of a show's "fandom"? Watching it faithfully? Participating in online discussion about it? Writing fanfic, buying action figures, erecting shrines, making sacrifices?
I guess according to most of those criteria (which specifically I leave as an exercise to worry the reader) I can safely say I'm a X-Files fan.
In general there seems to be a great deal of Babylon 5 cross-pollination, and Discworld.

Conspiracies, paranoia, melodrama, strangely theatrical dialogue, incredibly self-contradictory universe, universally hostile aliens, one of the main characters is a cock-eyed idealist and the other one is a snarky pragmatist with a funny nose, to say nothing of the one-armed psychopath...shall I go on? (;-p)
