But that's the problem, isn't it? She's developed into a fine stage actress (I haven't seen her in Shakespeare, but I've seen some of her other work and she really was excellent). Despite which, she knows she's going to be remembered for some far less accomplished work she did when she was just starting out more than 20 years ago. I'd be pretty annoyed if I was constantly judged on my earliest efforts.
Seems to me that's an inherent risk of certain fields, acting included. If she didn't want the risk, she didn't have to take the role.
