Hmm yes. We don't see much ground transport in B7 do we?
What common accident's could mum's worry about? Teleport seems an obvious one but they're not common enough in the B7 world for that to be a cliche.
She's also nicer to Vila and a lot less critical than my mother - hey, he needs someone on his side!
