Dud? No, I'm convinced I saw a different DotG than the rest of you, so it can't be a dud, can it?

I'm convinced it has too many good points to be a dud. True, the Tharn himself and his set-up was a dud, a bit Alice-in-Wonderland-y. But... good beginning. Orac takes it into his head to go exploring and leads them into danger. For the world's most brilliant computer, it needs a few more self-preservation circuits. Avon trying to get into a pressure suit, and Tarrant trying to stop him. Vila getting set up to explore. Vila finding out he's not going to die. Our Heroes having costumes that didn't make any of them look ridiculous. Tarrant describing ORAC without telling a single lie and without being at all helpful. The incredulity with which they face the prospect of using pencils to do sums. A sense that they should let the families of the people they met know what happened to them.
For that matter, I thought Ultraworld was okay.
