Which finally opened my eyes to the deeper truth: penguins are ANDROMEDANS. An early probe reported back merely that the dominant life form was a furless biped that can't fly, which turned out to be too vague a guide when the initial wave of breeders-of-warriors chose an out-of-the-way landing spot to form their breeding colonies.
Obviously we humans will succeed in fighting off *this* invasion (leading to the second effort recorded in Star One) but the damage we will take in the process!
Why, our whole civilization is doomed....
