Er, I thought you were allowed to discuss slash on this list if you wanted. The point of Freedom City is that you can discuss slash without having deal with people who disagree with it. If you don't mind having a row about slash, I thought there was no problem about discussing it here.
My impression of the differences between the two: 1. Some people on Lysator are interested in B7 as a science fiction show and either don't believe that the characters are having sex with anybody or want to talk about other things. Some Lystians find explicit discussions of the sex lives of fictional characters (slash or otherwise) to be offensive, so out of respect for them I do try to tone my posts down a bit. 2. I do not believe that anyone on FC is offended by explicit discussions of the sex lives of fictional characters, although there are disagreements about what is and isn't possible in a nitrogen atmosphere if the penguin is in a bad mood. 3. The default assumption on FC is that at least some of the characters have same-sex emotional and/or sexual interactions. 4. Whereas on Lysator this is either a controverted point or considered inappropriate for discussion. 5. If you say anything mean about either Blake or Tarrant on FC, somebody tries to kill you.
