Nah, Blake'd go first (Horizon, Hostage), having made Vila promse to take the UW to the nearest rebel base. (This is the reason Orbit wouldn't work
if
either of the principals were replaced by Blake, Gan or Cally - no suspense). Which Vila would promptly forget the name of ...
I think Avon would have reacted the same regardless of who was in the shuttle with him. He may have shown less ambivalence with some of them, but his life would always come first.
However, replace Avon, and all bets are off. Cally wouldn't have considered dumping Vila or anyone else, and neither would Gan. Blake might because of his commitment to the cause, and I think Tarrant and Dayna might--certainly think about it. I think Soolin likes Vila more than the others do (if he's the one trapped with her), showing concern for him more than once, but she's as pragmatic as Avon. I don't think she'd even stuff around as long as he does, creeping round the shuttle. Soolin would be very quick and efficient.
As for Vila 'forgetting' the names of whoever died, he's the only one who doesn't. He mentions Gan after his death, and Cally three times after hers; no-one else does (except for Soolin who never knew Cally.)
