(Much credit due to Anthony Simcoe, who plays D'Argo; a *terrific* actor, and a B7 fan to boot!)
Is he? Good for him!
Yup! I've been picking up some of the DVDs (the entire 1st season is now out in the US -- yay!). The first disc has voiceover commentaries, with Simcoe and Claudia Black doing the second episode. There's this alien stun weapon that shows up in that one that looks a little bit like a Liberator handgun, and Simcoe mentions the similarity, calling himself an "absolute fan" of B7. There's an interview with him on there somewhere, too, and he comes across as quite an enthusiastic fanboy, really. Says that acting on _Farscape_ is like a dream come true for him, because he's been pretending to be in outer space since he was a boy. :)
But D'Argo does also reveal himself to have been a rather soppy husband, which I can't quite draw out of Avon's scenes with Anna.
Um, good point. And personality-wise, they really aren't very similar at all. But they are both people I wouldn't necessarily have expected to be good with children. So if D'Argo can be, who knows, maybe Avon could be, too. Not that that entirely convinces me...
Hm. Escaped prisoner haunted by dead woman he loved, who had a brother. Do you think Mrs D'Argo might make a surprise reappearance as a top Peace Keeper?
Knowing _Farscape_, I would *not* put it past them! :)
