Personally I always thought Damn was better - you can spit it out and it goes with a bashed finger, or shutting the front door with the key inside, that sort of thing (I believe the amount of time between shutting the door and realising you don't have the key is a damnosecond). It relieves feeling without being offensive.
Oh, personally, I prefer damn too (Lynda Day from Press Gang - expresses this word perfectly, IMO)but I was thinking of who out of the Liberator would best use F*** but, come to think of it, Avon has used the word 'damn' and he expressed the frustration behind the word very well :-)
===== Cheryl. (My favourite 'Blake's 7' moment) What a fiasco! We could take over the ship you said, if I did my bit. Well, I did my bit, and what happened? Your 'troops' bumble around looking for someone to surrender to, and when they've succeeded, You, follow suit! (Avon to Blake. "Spacefall")
