Much as I like to avoid 'me too' posts, every now and then I can't resist and you really deserve one for this, Betty. FWIW, I didn't see anything wrong with Fiona's questions either, but then I love analysing fandom too. Hey, that's part of the joy of cons - I think the panels I enjoyed most were the ones looking at why the various fans write/think what they do.
