Thinking about it, it's amazing that Blake wasn't more paranoid. A
typical Blake day might run:
Travel to friendly planet to offer help to native people. Who try to
kill you. Federation arrive. And try to kill you. After hair-raising
scrapes (hair-curling?), teleport back to Liberator in traditional nick
of time, to be reunited with friendly computer expert, who, for what it
is worth, you have always trusted.
And who kills you. (Eventually, anyway.)
Which raises another question. Out of all the people Blake met, how
many did _not_ try to kill him at some point or another? Of his
immediate crew, I don't recall Vila or Jenna ever trying, but I think
Cally, Gan, Avon, Zen and Orac all tried at one time or another.
