Yes the error message is not wrong but if it can be more clear, why not ? (And yes, thinking of newbies is important if you want Pike to gain acceptance).
Morever I don't think it is very good to think that poeple that want to learn Pike need to speak perfect English. Lot of poeple using Pike are not native English language poeple.
Neither are those who wrote the message. But it is so damned hard to accept one's mistake (as little as it might be in this case).
