Is there anyone who knows anything about the timezone DFT? hal.lysator.liu.se, running AIX 4.2, appears to report its time and date in DFT. The Calendar module can not decode it.

[Xenofarm] Darwin build

Hi list, I began^W^Wkiwi suggested me to run the xenofarm on my MacOS X machine late last week coz there were no more such machine running it. First tests runs fine, and i get some green buttons on the darwin line. But, until sunday night, i get a crash while the tests. The following line box->add((opt=GTK.Label((({""})*5)[*]))[*]); gives me the error message vtae.pike:178:[*] not supported here. Both uses of [*] are of the form callable(array_expr[*]) though, which normally gets translated to map(array_expr, callable) so why not in this case?

In order to be able to build modules separately, a TMP_BINDIR containing the following things is required: install_module precompile.pike smartlink fixdepends.sh mktestsuite test_pike.pike None of these are currently installed. Should I put them in include/ like everything else, or create a new directory under libs/ (or reuse the "tools" one)? Note that smartlink is actually a binary. install_module, fixdepends.sh and mkteststure are /bin/sh scripts. precompile.pike and test_pike.pike are pike scripts and could be moved into Tools.Standalone instead.

Frequent context switches

I've become aware of an issue where a multithreaded pike application on Linux causes very frequent context switches (around 17000 per second). It's about five threads that all do a lot of data structure manipulation in pike code. What could be the cause of this? Is th_yield called way too often? Or is it possible that the thread lib is so stupid that it schedules all threads that hangs on the interpreter lock in round-robin fashion?
