Chị Vũ Như Quỳnh, Phó Giám đốc Văn phòng Tư vấn Du học AIT đã tham gia Hội nghị quy mô quốc tế này và đã có bài trình bày về “Xu hướng Du học của học sinh Việt Nam” với các đại diện các trường đại học, cao đẳng và trung học Mỹ và Canada có mong muốn tuyển sinh học sinh Việt Nam. Chị cũng đã chia sẻ những khó khăn mà học sinh Việt Nam đang gặp phải khi du học của Canada. Mời Quý phụ huynh và các bạn học sinh tham khảo bài phỏng vấn tại đây Trong những năm gần đây, Canada là một trong những điểm đến hàng đầu của học sinh quốc tế nói chung và học sinh Việt Nam nói riêng, bên cạnh các nền giáo dục lâu đời như Mỹ, Anh,… Bên cạnh đó, Canada còn là nước đứng đầu trong nhóm G8 về đầu tư cho giáo dục, và là một trong những quốc gia có mức học phí hợp lý, cơ hội việc làm và trên hết là chính sách nhập cư mở rộng. Do đó, việc xét duyệt để cấp visa cho sinh viên theo học tại Canada đòi hỏi phải tuân thủ nguyên tắc chặt chẽ. Theo như chia sẻ của chị Quỳnh trong bài phỏng vấn, một trong những khó khăn khi chuẩn bị hồ sơ xin visa du học vào Canada chính là việc cung cấp giấy đủ giấy tờ hợp lệ để chứng minh khả năng tài chính của người bảo trợ cho học sinh đi du học. Chúng ta đều biết Việt Nam đang chuyển dần từ việc sử dụng tiền mặt sang các hình thức khác. Tuy nhiên, ở thời điểm hiện tại, Việt Nam vẫn là nền kinh tế dựa nhiều vào tiền mặt. Điển hình cho vấn đề này chính là việc các gia đình thường tiết kiệm bằng việc tích trữ tiền mặt, ngoại tệ, thậm chí là vàng trong gia đình, thay vì gửi tiết kiệm trong các ngân hàng. Ngoài ra, các giao dịch liên quan đến tiền và nguồn thu nhập như thanh toán lương, cho thuê nhà,… đều được thực hiện dưới hình thức tiền mặt mà không thông qua các giao dịch điện tử tại các ngân hàng. Trong khi đó, hồ sơ đi Canada lại yêu cầu những khoản tài chính bền vững và các giao dịch rõ ràng của các gia đình thông qua hệ thống ngân hàng, đã gây không ít khó khăn cho các gia đình có con em có dự định đi du học Canada. Theo một nghiên cứu gần đây, “Mặc dù thị trường dịch vụ tài chính của Việt Nam chưa được khai thác cao, nhưng sự phát triển kinh tế sẽ thúc đẩy số lượng người dân tham gia các dịch vụ tài chính tại các ngân hàng”.
