Does anyone have any feedback that would prevent me from announcing 7.8.856 as the new stable build? I was hoping to make some headway on the windows ell problem I noticed, but if Peter’s build doesn’t have that problem, I’m not too worried about having an answer to the problem beforehand.

I fixed a thread bug in the backend a few days ago, but I don't know of anyone that has triggered it during the ~7 years that it has existed...

I suppose we could do a very quick new build and declare a release from there. If it's just the one change, it probably doesn't need to go through a month of testing and feedback.
