It's been a little over a week since I posted a new alpha version, 7.8.852. Does anyone have any further feedback that needs to be addressed before I announce it as a beta version on the primary list?
If I don't hear anything in the next day or so, I'll move it to the beta folder and make an announcement.

I've uploaded a package to Debian experimental, but if you think there will be an official stable releast before the freeze on 5 November, I could upload it to unstable.
There are some changes in the 7.8 git repository that would be nice to have in the release to support the (soon to be released?) next version of Nettle.
