What is the current situation for generating wrappers for C/C++ libraries so they can be used in Pike? I know there is some experimental stuff in SWIG, but it seems very old.
Are there any up-to-date tools for doing this?

"pike -x module" with cmod's. The documentation is extremly spase. I know because I tried to find and use it this Saturday instead of my usual method of building by cloning a module inside Pikes source tree.
I don't know of if anyone used the SWIG stuff, ever.
