Using Pike 7.5.17 compiled by Peter Bortas, I got the following error:

Is that a known bug? My code starts a lot of threads (about 20 simultaniously running) which scans directories for their permissions.
Yes, I recall a problem very much like that. Don't remember exactly what came out of it, though. I suggest you try a newer version.
