Protocols.IMAP is totally without documentation. Is there a client part and where do I start unraveling it?

That explains why I can find out how to set up a server but not initate a client connection...
There is a glue for libmutt in Pexts made by Zsolt Varga. There is also a Pike IMAP client made by Mikael Brandstrm. You can find it in Camas but it's not the official source (file named IMAPclient2.pmod) so it may be outdated.
Feel free to add it, Mikael Brandström told me there were no problems at all to add it to Pexts, so I think he will please that module added.
BTW, I have a pop3 client module as well on my disk... maybe we can add it ? do I have the green light ?

I think Mikael Brandström has made an IMAP client module, but I can't seem to recall any details at the moment.
Yes he did.
FYI, you can find this code in the CVS of CAMAS 1.2 (while not used ATM): server/etc/modules/CAMAS.pmod/IMAPclient2.pmod
